What is AOL Instant Messenger 4.7?

AOL Instant Messenger (a.k.a. AIM) was a popular chat client.  AIM 4.7 was the last version for Mac OS and worked both on classic and OSX.

You had to go to the AIM website located at http://www.aim.com and create an AIM account and then you could use that username/password to log in the AIM chat client.
