What is "The Mac" - magazine cover floppy disks?

"The Mac" was a mid 90's UK published Macintosh guide magazine that came with a free floppy disk containing a couple shareware programs.

Issues # 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 9 and 12 are dated from May 1993 to June 1994:

The Mac # 1 contains: AppliCount 2.6, 8-Ball, BricklesPlus, Klondike 5.1, Macman 2.0, Mines 1.0, Otello, Risk

The Mac # 2 contains: GNU Chess 3.0, MoonDEMO, Super Yahtzee, TextMangler 2.1.2, Adobe Quake font, BeforeDark 1.0.3, BroadCast II, SndControl 2.2.2

The mac # 4 contains: BrushStrokes, ClarisWorks templates, 3Tris, FloorTiles

The Mac # 5 contains: Fractions Font, Rescue! 1.6, Space Junkie 1.1, Spacestation Pheta 2.4

The Mac # 6 contains: BrickBounce, Galactic Empire, Populous, Spin Doctor Demo, Synchronize, The Mac MIDI song, Zachary

The Mac # 9 contains: Brainchild Shortlist Demo, Flintstone v2.0, PopticsThree TT, 3D Paddle Bash!, FRAC, KYE, MacTriv 3.2, StudioCraft

The Mac # 12 contains: FirstClass Client v2.5, BellBottom Font, Bizzaro Font, NixonInChina Font, SmileyFace Font, Blood Suckers, Flipper, StarRunner Release 1.2, Discolour, PwrSwitcher, Toaster
