What is Macintosh Explorer? Macintosh Explorer, developped by Rage Software, a Canadian, Toronto based software company, launched in 1999 and quickly made fans who were used to a Windows-like Explorer interface. The software kept on improving almost every other year until it finally was released as freeware in 2010. As of writing this, Rage Software still displays the serial number on their website and invite users to enjoy the product for free: 91153-5358-FSS-3938-10812-40 (for version 4.3 or above)
Summary Macintosh Explorer provides an alternative method of browsing your hard drives. As well, it provides a familiar interface for file navigation for Windows users converting to the Mac. Macintosh Explorer provides such features as removing unneeded files, backing up important documents, extended file information and a batch file info changer combined with an easy to use file browser. Allowing you to perform various operations on files and folders while browsing your hard drives. Since Macintosh Explorer resembles Windows Explorer, it allows Windows users to quickly become comfortable when switching to the Macintosh platform.
