What is Minecraft 1.25, 1.3.2, 1.5.2 for PowerPC G4/G5? A very popular open world sandbox game, where you can craft things from mined materials. The minimum objective of this game is to survive by crafting things, but limitless player creativity usually transforms it into making something cool, building interesting structure and even making functional mechanisms. You can also find villager NPCs and mess with them. Note: Those are older releases. Make sure to check out Minecraft 1.8.9 for PowerPC instead, which runs smoother and has bug fixes. 1.2.5 of minecraft is one of the earliest that can run without looking prehistoric. It runs very well on G4 Macs with a bit of tweaking, however we do not know if OptiFine works on G4. A GeForce FX 5200 can be hacked with a new ROM for compatibility for old Macs (such as the G4 Cube), and a hardware hack to run with ADC displays. Enjoy! Version 1.5.2 (1.5.0) adds redstone and fixes some bugs.

Make sure to check out Minecraft 1.8.9 for PowerPC instead, which runs smoother and has bug fixes. To run this game well, a stronger CPU is needed, meanwhile the GPU requirements are very low. If Minecraft isn't running well, then it's advisable to install the OptiFine performance mod, which reduces demands on your system with minimal impact for graphics quality. With Optifine mod the game runs OK on old computers with very low specs like the AMD Athlon 64 3200+, nVidia GeForce FX 5200 and 2GB RAM. Mac equivalent of that would be something like Core Solo CPUs with integrated graphics and 2GB RAM.
