What is Keyspan USB Twin Serial Adapter (USA28)? NOTE: The .toast image I included is a full image of the CD-ROM for v.1.5.1. It includes documentation. You can download the later versions and this for completion. IT IS NOT A SERIAL NUMBER!! Looking for a way to hook a serial printer, graphics tablet, camera or PDA to the USB ports on your new iMac, 'blue and white' G3 or USB equipped Macintosh computer? The Keyspan USB Serial Adapter is a simple and reliable way to make the connection. The Adapter plugs into any built-in USB port on your Mac or USB Hub. It provides two serial ports which can be used to connect to Macintosh serial devices. The Adapter requires Mac OS version 8.1 (or later) and Mac OS USB drivers version 1.0.1 (or later). Note: The installer will not run unless you have the Mac OS USB drivers version 1.0.1 (or later). If you have an iMac or 'blue and white' G3 running Mac OS 8.5 or greater, these drivers are already installed. If you have an iMac running Mac OS 8.1, the Mac OS USB drivers version 1.0.1 can be obtained from the iMac Update 1.0. This update is included on the CD-ROM that came with your Keyspan USB Serial Adapter and can also be downloaded from Apple's web site. Download Keyspan USB Twin Serial Adapter (USA28) for Mac

From Mac OS 8.1 up to Mac OS 9.2 This adapter is not compatible with devices that require LocalTalk/AppleTalk or Geoport. To check which model you have, open Apple System Profiler, go to the Devices and Volumes tab, and it should show up connected to the USB bus even if there's no driver installed.
