What is Geekbench 2.2.7 PPC and Intel?

Geekbench is a very competent benchmarking tool for PC and Mac. It can provide very accurate benchmarks, let you see how big of a performance boost you gave your PC or Mac with an upgrade, and is just more accurate than other benchmarking software. Except for UserBenchmark, but that's not important.

This version, 2.2.7, is a no longer supported version of Geekbench, BUT, members of the awesome classic Mac community have continued some light support for this version. As 2.2.7 is unsupported, it is not copyrighted, at least to our knowledge. It works with many G4 or G5 Macs, but the full list is in the compatibility notes.

It is compatible with the G4 Cube, G4 Quicksilver, G4 MDD, Power Mac G5, and with extended support and XPostFacto, the iMac G3, the G3 tower, and finally, the G3 desktop. Other Macs may be supported, but we do not know about older Macs. Geekbench 2.2.7 for Mac is compatible with Mac OS X. Specific versions are unknown, but we have information that it runs exceptionally well on Mac OS 10.5 Leopard.
