What is Star Wars: Yoda's Challenge Activity Center?

Yoda has six missions on the planets Naboo and Tatooine for wannabe Anakin Skywalkers. The game, targeting ages six through eight, is well organized into activities that feature 20 to 40 puzzles on four different levels, gradually increasing in difficulty. However, the activities become very repetitive after completion of just a few puzzles. The animation and graphics are great, but require a fairly up-to-date system.

Activities include a race between Queen Amidala and Jar Jar Binks, which tests critical thinking skills. Capturing destroyer and battle droids challenges rhythm and memory abilities. Unscrambling Queen Amidala’s computer requires excellent spatial relation and model-building skills, while players use simple grammar to help C-3PO tell illustrated stories about the young Anakin Skywalker. Finally, a sense of direction and map-reading skills guide kids toward precious gems needed to unlock doors that conceal Gungan relics. Added bonuses indude printouts of stories and songs and a certificate of completion, signed by Yoda, for young Jedis who manage to solve all the puzzles.
